Clarkston Farm and Garden Club - Greens Market

"My husband and I moved to Clarkston from Flint in 2013 after retiring in 2010.  I wanted to be involved in the community and already was a Master Gardener in the Genesee County system. Gardening has always been a hobby but with a full time job was not always allowed in my life.  The sister of a  friend of mine was in the Farm and Garden Club and she and I connected at the 2013 Greens Market.  I have been a member of the club since 2014.  This club has introduced me to some wonderful people who have become friends.

The Clarkston Foundation

The Clarkston Foundation for Public Education was founded in 1987 with a mission to support academic excellence within the Clarkston Community Schools, particularly in the areas of math, science and arts programming. We are an all-volunteer, non-profit organization staffed by a group of caring and dedicated community leaders, with strong support from school administrators.

I have been a part of the ambassador group for over 12 years.  I moved to Clarkston 29 years ago and immediately fell in love!  You have the historic downtown with the surrounding neighborhoods, rural areas full of lakes and country roads.  It was a great place to raise my 2 boys!
